WITH WITNESS
With Witness is a 30 minute composition compiled from two hour-long improvised and sound designed multimedia sessions between Alexandra and her longtime collaborator and painter, Joni Mueller.
It is a testament to the power of presence in collaborations, bearing witness to the way that artists connect with one another in a creative space. The way that brush strokes, movement, and visual patterns affect the musical performance of melodies, sonic textures, sound design and vice versa.

SONG A WEEK
From June to September 2024, Alexandra challenged herself to create a song sketch (a 1-2 minute miniature composition accompanied by an artistic video) each week.
The process involved venturing out to capture samples in Portland’s urban and natural environments, incorporating them into each composition.
A short film observing the current appearance and cultural presence of the once nuclear center, now public park, called Trojan.

Short film of the journey of a Newport woman as she finds independence and empowerment by taking ownership over the storytelling of a family tragedy, symbolically paired with the fishing tradition of splicing rope.
